Danielle Good, Owner and Lead Instructor of the Advanced Permanent Makeup Institute, brings decades of experience in esthetics, education, permanent cosmetics, and medical aesthetics to her students.
Danielle began her professional career in the beauty industry after studying Esthetics at Zenzie’s Beauty College in San Francisco, California. She became a licensed esthetician in 1996 and went on to build an extensive career encompassing clinical esthetics, spa services, education, permanent cosmetics, and advanced aesthetic procedures. After working in the San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego, Danielle relocated to Palm Springs, California, where she became a Lead Esthetician at the Hyatt Regency. During this time, she continued developing her professional expertise while furthering her education in esthetics and spa management.
Her career later provided her with the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Rim Marcinkus, M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc., a cosmetic surgeon, where Danielle assisted with medical aesthetic treatments and gained valuable experience in a clinical aesthetic environment serving high-profile clientele.
From Esthetics Educator to Permanent Makeup Professional
Seeking to expand her career in education, Danielle relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where she became a licensed Esthetics Instructor and taught esthetics at two schools in the Phoenix area.
While teaching esthetics, Danielle was introduced to permanent makeup and completed training in facial permanent cosmetics in 2005. She continued her education with advanced permanent makeup training in 2006, expanding her knowledge of techniques and applications used within medical and corrective aesthetic settings.
During her time in Arizona, Danielle also worked in the Phoenix and Sedona offices of Dr. Bendy So, M.D., FACS, a physician known for his work in vain surgery. This experience allowed her to further develop her knowledge of medical aesthetics while continuing to advance her permanent makeup skills.
The combination of professional practice, classroom instruction, esthetics, and experience within medical aesthetic environments helped shape the educational approach Danielle would later bring to APMI.
Bringing Her Experience to Virginia
In 2011, Danielle relocated to Virginia, where she continued practicing in the aesthetics industry and began teaching at the Chrysm Institute of Esthetics in Virginia Beach.
Danielle obtained her Virginia Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo licensure in 2012 and became a licensed Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing Instructor in 2013, further expanding her professional role as both a practitioner and educator.
Her professional experience also led to her work with Dr. Kyle Choe, M.D., F.A.C.S., at The Choe Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, where she continues to provide professional aesthetic and permanent makeup services.
Through these experiences, Danielle has developed a professional perspective that combines education in esthetics, permanent cosmetics, hands-on technical training, and experience within medical aesthetic settings.
Today, she brings that experience directly into the classroom as the Founder, Director of Education, and Primary Instructor at the Advanced Permanent Makeup Institute.
